Philipe Haddad

Director General

Meet Phil Haddad! He is the Director-General for our upcoming QMUN Conference! Phil is a third-year History major, Politics minor, focusing on the Middle East, completing a certificate in Law. You may know him from around campus, announcing for the basketball games at the ARC, playing for Queen's (undefeated) rugby varsity club team, or as a founding member and Co-President of the Squirrel-Watching Club! Something you may not know as well is that he is a proud member of the Queen's International Affairs Association and the Queen's MUN team. As such, Phil has been more than happy to get the opportunity to show everyone at Queen's why he loves Model United Nations through QMUN this year! The different levels of pace, the problem-solving, the ingenuity of certain delegates, the competition, the role-playing... Phil could go on and on! His personal goal with QMUN is to show Queen's that there's nothing quite like it, and that everyone can make a change in the world as long as they're passionate and willing to collaborate. Phil knows that our team has spent a lot of time working on this conference to make it an experience worth remembering, and we hope that you all enjoy yourselves! See you guys at Opening Ceremonies!

Megan Fanjoy

Chief of Stall

Meet Megan Fanjoy! Meg is honoured to act as the Chief of Staff for QMUN 2020. A little about her: she is currently in my second year studying Political Studies, Philosophy and Economics (PPE), as well as completing a Certificate of Business. Over the past six years, Meg have had the privilege of traveling across North America as a MUN delegate; serving as the Director General of the sixth annual Queen's Model United Nations Invitational, our sister collegiate conference; writing for Queen's MUSE Magazine; and working at the ~quirky~ coffee shop on campus, Cogro (yes, she can make a mean latte and bruschetta bagel). In Meg's spare time, you will never find her without a cup of coffee in hand and reading feminist-based books. Meg is extremely excited to work alongside the entire staff to facilitate an unforgettable weekend - one which she is certain will be filled with fruitful debate, backroom plots and compromises, and new friendships will be made. Meg hopes that you are just as excited as I am for the best QMUN ever!

Rachel Salem-Wiseman

Under-Secretary General

This here is Rachel Wiseman, a second year majoring in art history. She has been participating in Model United Nations since the beginning of high school and have always found it to be a great way to meet like-minded individuals and create a competitive outlet for herself. Rachel is also the socials coordinator for the MUN team and hope to continue her involvement with the team for the rest of my time here at Queen's. Besides the MUN team, Rachel also volunteer at the Agnes Etherington Art Centre as a student docent, where she leads elementary school classes around the gallery and discuss the different art pieces that we have on display. Rachel really loves the sound of her own voice so both this position and her involvement on the MUN team are proof of that. In the coming years Rachel hopes that QMUN will be able to grow and introduce the student body at Queen's to the wonders of MUN. It will provide an opportunity for us to show the student body that there are different committees and styles of MUN, and most importantly, that it can be fun!

Max Teitelbaum

Co-director of Operations

Meet Max Teitelbaum! He is a political studies major and English minor in my fourth and final year at Queen's. Max was born and raised in Toronto, and he hopes to live there in the future once the housing market (hopefully) becomes more reasonable. Max's future plan/goal is to go to law school, where he hope to start in the fall of 2020. Max is a huge fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Baltimore Ravens, and he hopes to someday go to a Super Bowl. Max have been on the Queen's Model UN team for three years now, and this will be the final conference that he will be a part of. That being said, he is very excited to see how this conference turns out. All of the secretariat members have been putting in obscene amounts of effort in such a small period of time to prepare for the conference in the hopes that it is an enjoyable experience for all delegates, and Max whole-heatedly agrees that it will be up there with the best Model UN conferences Queen's University has ever seen. The conference dates have been marked on my calendar since the beginning of the planning stages, and Max is looking forward to seeing how amazing it turns out!
